The Watermill Clinic takes its name from Wickham’s long milling heritage, a village shaped by the River Meon and centuries of craftsmanship and community, where mills have stood since the Domesday Book of 1086. At the heart of that history is the Chesapeake Mill, rebuilt in 1820 using timber salvaged from the captured American warship USS Chesapeake.
